London North Eastern Railway have asked all of its customers not to travel today due to “a problem under investigation”.
LNER, which operates at rail stations in the North East including Newcastle Sunderland, Durham, Morpeth and Berwick have asked passengers not to travel today (Saturday), while they carry out an investigation into an issue that has been found.
Anyone who is affected by the incident is able to use their booked ticket up to and including Sunday, May 16, although customers must make a new reservation.
The problem is service wide, meaning trains across the country are all affected.
