Organisers are 'thrilled' with the large turnout and enthusiasm of volunteers willing to make apple juice to raise money for charity.
Over 60 volunteers were 'pressed' into action at the annual Corbridge Apple Pressing Weekend to help wash, pulp, and press thousands of apples donated by the local community.
The event took place at Corbridge Cricket Club and organised by the Corbridge Community Partnership.
Over 2,300 litres of juice was produced over two days during the event and now be processed and canned by the Hadrian Border Brewery, based at Newburn, with the stocks of Lightly Sparkling Corbridge Apple Juice provided by the company at cost price.
It is due to go on sale later this month (October) with proceeds in support of Charlotte Straker House, Corbridge Youth Initiative and the Corbridge Community Partnership.

CCP chairman Maurice Hodgson said: “It was a wonderful community effort by all involved. From local residents and other growers who donated their apples to those who volunteered to help at the Apple Pressing Weekend.
“A mountain of apples ensured everyone was kept very busy over the two days, including during rain showers. With thanks also to Hadrian Border Brewery who were there all weekend and gave up their time for free.”
Organisers hope to exceed the money raised last year which was £2,200.
Details of how to buy the cans - priced at £2 or £24 for 12 - will be posted on local social media once they are ready to go on sale.
