BRING a picnic and a rug for another season of free music in Hexham Park.

The bandstand sessions in the Sele will be starting early this year with a 'big hurrah' from the Jazz Festival on Sunday, May 26.

After the festival regular free sessions will run every Sunday between 12.00 and 2.00 until the last weekend in July, ending with the Bluegrass Festival on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28.

The Bandstand Sessions is organised by Hexham Town Council in partnership with Core Music.

Penny Grennan, lead Town Councillor for the sessions said,” We are so pleased that free music in the park has become a feature of summer in Hexham.

"Once again there will be a range of artists, and this year we have a session representing LGBTQ+ for Pride month on 16th June and a Young Stars takeover on July 21st. There will be something for everyone”
