PETS are often the centre of our world and as owners we always do whatever we can for them.

So this week we asked our readers to recommend a vet practice in the Tynedale area.

Here is what our readers said.

Tracy Spence gave a shout out to Scott Mitchell practice for being 'honest, truthful vets with great staff'.

The Hexham-based practice provides treatment and support for everything from hamsters to livestock and everything in-between, with the practice divided up into equine, farm and small animal departments.

Donna Louise Lytollis Charlie also recommended them and said thank you for being "amazing vets".

This was agreed by Mandy Tully, Trish and Tony Maughan, Kate Blackburn and Carolyn Melville, who said staff member Angus Simpson at the practice was 'fantastic'.

Orchard House Vets in Hexham is "the best" vets according to Cheryl Taylor, to which Janet Blakeburn also agreed.

Orchard House Veterinary Centre on Priestpopple was set up by veterinarian Tim Pearson in June 1998 after working across the country and deciding he wanted to establish his own practice.

Tim has also opened branches in Stocksfield and Bellingham.

Capontree Vets was also mentioned by our readers which has business has twelve vets in an established trio of Vet centres – Brampton, Haltwhistle and Longtown.
