CHILDREN from Corbridge and Prudhoe made the trip to County Hall to get to grips with politics in Local Democracy Week.
Groups from Corbridge Middle School, Highfield Middle School in Prudhoe and Prudhoe Community High School were among 1,000 pupils from throughout the county who went along between October 9 and October 13.
The collaboration between Northumberland County Council’s Democratic Services and the Youth Service saw pupils take part in activities themed around citizen participation.
They attended workshops where they developed artwork for International Women’s Day, as well as looking at issues which affect them in their local community.
