FOR the ninth consecutive year, clients at a Hexham-based family business have given generously to support families in need across the district.
Dozens of toys and gifts suitable for babies up to teenagers have been collected by the team at Aligned Family Chiropractic on Hencotes and will be distributed by the Salvation Army.
The practice acts as a drop-off point from the beginning of November and this year more than 160 donations were received.
Chiropractor and owner, Belinda Ambrose, said: “The Salvation Army works with health visitors, doctors surgeries and other key agencies who know the families in need of a bit of support.
“Christmas is such a happy time for many of us, but there are those who really struggle, and we got involved originally because we wanted to do all we could to help the local community.”
The gifts were collected by the Salvation Army’s divisional envoy for Hexham, Eunice Blakey, on Monday and will be distributed in time for Christmas.
