A POPULAR racing event will take place this weekend.
The Tynedale Point to Point will take place at Downhills, Corbridge, on Saturday, April 20.
Organisers say it is a "great family day out with good entries for all the races".
Two pony races will start at 12.30pm, sponsored by Mowden Hall School, Stocksfield.
Seven horse races will start from 1.30pm, sponsored by:

- Womble Bond Dickinson
- Errington Coffee House
- The Fires in Stone
- Cavu Corporate
- Jan Mitchell Properties
- Izabella Welch
There will be refreshments, bar bookies, stalls, a bouncy castle, face painting and hook-a-duck.
Clerk of the course and chairman of the Tynedale Point to Point, Peter Foster, said: "We are expecting a good turnout of spectators, the weather forecast is looking good and we have good entries in all the races and plenty of fun for children, including a bouncy castle, face painting and hook-a-duck."
