CLEASBY - LLOYD

LANGLEY Castle was the venue for the wedding of Stephanie Lloyd and Damian Cleasby from Ponteland on June 7.
The nuptials included a candle lighting ceremony which saw the bride and bridegroom lighting candles along with both sets of parents.
The bridegroom is the son of Tony and Angela Cleasby of East Close, Matfen, and is a former student of Ponteland Community High School.
He now works for the BBC as a director of Look North.
The bride is the daughter of Simon and Lynn Yeo of Workington, Cumbria, and attended Wyndham School in Egremont and All Saints University College, Leeds.
She works as a senior broadcast journalist for BBC Look North.
On her wedding day she wore a strapless silk gown with Jimmy Choo shoes and a ribbon- edged veil and tiara.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white duchesse peonies, ivory akito roses, ivory avalanche roses, purple freesia and lilac lisianthus.
Sister of the bridegroom, Caroline Cleasby, wore a purple satin Karen Millen dress while the bride’s cousins Bethan Porter and Erin Yeo wore gowns which tied in with the colour scheme.
The best man was the bridegroom’s cousin, Matthew Gregory-Smith.
Northumbrian piper David Bailey played the bride down the aisle as she was given away by her step-father.
Readings were given during the ceremony by the bride’s grandfather, Ken Yeo MBE, the bridegroom’s father, Tony Cleasby, and family friend Michelle Pearse, who read a poem she had written about the couple.
Family and friends celebrated with the newlyweds during a reception at the hotel before they enjoyed a three and a half week honeymoon in Wyoming and Utah in the USA.
