Christopher Hall - Victoria Mason

A LAST-MINUTE change of reception venue following the abrupt closure of Otterburn Hall Hotel failed to take the gloss off the wedding of Christopher Hall and Victoria Mason.
Otterburn Castle stepped in at the last minute to provide a fitting finale to the big day, which began with the ceremony at St Peter’s Church in Newbrough.
The bridegroom, the son of Barry and Paula Hall, of Sidgate, Newbrough, attended Haydon Bridge High School, and works as a vehicle technician with Nigel Price 4WD in Newbrough.
He has been a member of the Red Cross for 16 years, and enjoys judo in his spare time.
The bride, the daughter of Keith and Mandy Mason, of Peth Head, Hexham, attended Hexham Queen Elizabeth High School, and is a marketing co-ordinator with the Pharos Offshore group.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a lace designer fishtail gown, with a two-tier chapel length veil with Swarovski crystals, secured by a pearl and beaded hair comb.
Her bouquet, comprising ivory avalanche roses, small pale pink roses and single cream lisianthus, also incorporated her grandmother’s brooch.
The bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters, Denise and Jane Mason, who wore floor length strapless gowns in chocolate brown satin.
The best man was the bridegroom’s best friend Stewart Cowen, and the ushers were the bridegroom’s close friends Jamie Gradwell and Dave Anderson.
The bride entered the church to Yiruma’s River Flows in You and the couple left to Queen’s You’re My Best Friend.
The service included the hymns Amazing Grace and All Things Bright and Beautiful and the church was decorated with pedestal arrangements of ivory roses, single lisianthus and greenery.
The couple had a short honeymoon in the Lake District, but will go skiing in France in January.
