Marriage

Daniel Colm Murphy - Victoria Ryan

ELSHAM Hall in North Lincolnshire was the venue for the wedding of Daniel Colm Murphy and Victoria Ryan on September 1.
The bridegroom, a former Hexham Queen Elizabeth High School student, is the son of Aidan and Liz Murphy, of Hexham, and went on to study at the University of Hull.
He enjoys sport, music and cooking in his spare time and currently works as a delivery driver.
The bride is the daughter of Malcolm Ryan, of Kent, and Wendy Farnworth, of Anglesey, and attended Altrincham Grammar School for Girls in Cheshire before going on to study at the University of Hull.
She works as an RE teacher at Tollbar Academy in Grimsby, where the couple now live, and enjoys baking in her spare time.
On her wedding day, the bride wore a strapless ivory dress with train and silver detail, and carried a bouquet of purple rose and gypsophila.
Bridesmaids were her friend Michaela Powell and step sister Isobel Farnworth, who both wore purple floor length dresses with ivory sashes.
Also acting as bridesmaid was the bride’s half sister Katie Ryan, who wore a floor length ivory dress with purple sash.
Michaela and Isobel wore wrist corsages while Katie carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
University friends of the bridegroom Adam Kealey and Pete Eyre were both best men, while another friend, Graham Hambleton, was an usher.
The bride was given away by her father and the ceremony music included Marvin Gaye’s Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and Can You Feel the Love Tonight? sung by the bridegroom’s cousin Lily Clarke.
The reception was held at The Barn in Elsham Hall where the high vaulted ceilings were decorated with drapes and fairy lights.
Table decorations, favours and stationery for the occasion were all made by the bride, while her mother provided a pick and mix sweet table for the evening celebrations.
The newly-weds plan to honeymoon later in the year.
