A NEW Year honeymoon in the sunny climes of Cuba await newlyweds Matt Findlay and Sarah Vallans.
The couple from Hallington High Farm married in a civil ceremony at Gilsland Spa Hotel, on October 26.
The bride is the daughter of Linda Vallans, of Fourstones, and is a former pupil at Hexham’s Queen Elizabeth High School.
She works as a kitchen assistant at Charlotte Straker House in Corbridge.
The bridegroomfarms at Hallington.
Carrying a bouquet of pink roses and freesia, the bride wore a three-quarter-length ivory dress with lace detail and crystal beading.
In her hair she wore a headband detailed with two crystal stars.
Acting as flowergirl was the bride’s friend’s daughter, three-year-old Lucy Johns who wore an ivory dress with netting detailed in ivory, pink and green leaves. She also carried a wand decorated with a pink rose.
Best man was the couple’s friend Roly Carr, of Homilton Farm, and ring bearer for the couple was the bride’s son, 12-year-old Luc Heath.
The bridegroom’s daughters Melissa and Laura both gave readings at the ceremony, The Passionate Shepherd to His Love and Sooner or Later.
The wedding cake was made by the bride’s son Luc and the bride’s niece Sophie Heron, and a reception was held at Gilsland Spa.
