Andrew James Bolton – Katherine Jane Kendrew

TheE baptism of their baby daughter followed the wedding of Andrew James Bolton and Katherine Jane Kendrew.
The couple tied the knot in December, at St Peter’s Church, Newbrough, in a service led by the Rev. Jeremy Thompson, and then celebrated the baptism of their six-month-old daughter, Ava Lauren.
The bride is the daughter of June and Michael Kendrew, of Fourstones. She attended Haydon Bridge High School and Newcastle College, and now works as a travel adviser for First Choice Holidays.
The bridegroom is the son of Sue and Keith Bolton, of Wallsend. A former pupil of Willington High School and Newcastle College, he is an engineer for Contex Office Services.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ivory satin dress with a ruched bodice and diamante detail, a matching wrap and long gloves. She carried a hand-tied spray of deep red calla lilies.
She was attended by her sister Elizabeth Cubbage, her niece Alice Cubbage and the bridegroom’s daughter, Holly Bolton.
Elizabeth wore a burgundy satin cowl-necked dress with matching wrap, and carried a hand-tied spray of ivory calla lilies.
Alice and Holly wore ivory lace dresses with sequin trimmed boleros and carried hand-tied posies of alstroemeria and deep red roses.
Graeme Oetting, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man, while Iain Kendrew, the bride’s brother, was an usher.
The hymns O, come all ye faithful, Lord of all hopefulness, and Jerusalem were accompanied by organist John Cox.
During the service, the poem The One was read by the bride’s aunt, Christine Proudlock.
The church was decorated with ivory lilies, holly, ivory, and seasonal greenery and 14 Christmas trees – part of St Peter’s Festival of Christmas Trees – were on display.
The reception took place at Newbrough Town Hall, which was decorated for the occasion by the bride’s family.
