Marriage

PEARSON - ELLIOTT

Invitations for the wedding of Gavin Pearson and Ashley Louise Elliott were sent out by the couple’s five year old son. And the youngster also featured on the couple’s wedding cake in a ceremony at Hexham racecourse, which had much to do with bringing the family together so they all had the same surname. The bridegroom, the son of Edward and Lynn Pearson, of Hexham, attended Hexham Queen Elizabeth High School and works as a panel beater and foreman with Hinds Bendall’s car repair centre in Carlisle. The bride, daughter of Judith Hepple, of Haltwhistle, and the late Barry Elliott, attended Haydon Bridge High School and works in customer service with Egger UK. Given in marriage by her stepfather, John Hepple, the bride wore an ivory dress with a sweetheart neckline, capped sleeves and lace detail on the back. The bridesmaids were close friends Phillippa Gibson and Carla Nicholson, who wore navy dresses. The best man was Simon Luke, a friend of the bridegroom. The couple’s son, Oliver, was page boy. The bride entered the ceremony to You Got the Love by Florence and the Machine and the couple left to You Got a Friend in Me from Toy Story – Oliver’s favourite film.
