Rowan Kyle Hinchcliffe – Charlotte Elizabeth Holmes
TWO former Prudhoe High School pupils tied the knot at the Scottish Border’s most iconic wedding venue.
Rowan Kyle Hinchcliffe and Charlotte Elizabeth Holmes married in a ceremony at the famous Old Blacksmith’s Shop at Gretna Green on Saturday, June 14.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Diane Hinchcliffe, of Glen Avenue, in Stocksfield.
He works as the bar manger at the Feathers Inn in Hedley on the Hill and his spare time runs the Stocksfield Pokemon League.
The bride is the daughter of Ian and Alison Holmes, of Highfield, in Prudhoe, and is a student nurse.
The couple share a home in Chopwell.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a full length white gown with fitted bodice and full skirt, which was decorated in crystals and sequins.
It was worn with a mid-length veil trimmed with crystals and a silver tiara decorated in crystals.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of red roses.
The bridesmaids were the bride’s sister Lucy Holmes and the bridegroom’s sister Lara Hinchcliffe.
They wore white dresses with black detail, with Lucy in a knee-length dress and Lara wearing a tea-length dress, and carried bouquets of hand-tied roses.
Best man was the bridegroom’s brother Ruairidh Hinchcliffe.
A reception was held at the Smith’s Hotel in Gretna Green and the couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Holland.
