Nick McCormick - Catherine Riley

Hexham Olympian Nick McCormick tied the knot with fellow former junior international runner Catherine Riley at the weekend.
On Saturday, Nick, who represented Great Britain in the 5,000m at London 2012, married Catherine in a ceremony held at St Anne’s Church, in Fence, Burnley.
The bridegroom, a former pupil at Queen Elizabeth High School, Hexham, and Loughborough University student, is the son of Alan and Mavis McCormick, of Hexham.
He will start a new job in the national key accounts department at sporting brand New Balance next month.
The bride is the daughter of Alan and Linda Riley, of Fence, and she now works as a head physiotherapist with UK Athletics. She went to Wheatley Lane School, in Fence, before studying at Manchester University.
The bride wore an ivory, tulle dress and carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas and thistles.
The bride’s friends Victoria Wilshaw and Francesca McPhedran were bridesmaids. They wore purple grape dresses and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.
Ross Theobald, a school friend of the bridegroom, was best man, while the bridegroom’s brothers Chris and Andrew McCormick, and the bride’s brother Scott Riley were ushers.
The bride’s father gave her away during a ceremony which included the hymns Guide Me Oh Thou Great Redeemer and How Great Thou Art, sung by the school choir from Wheatley Lane.
The wedding party enjoyed a reception in a teepee following the ceremony, and the newlyweds, who have set up home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, honeymooned in Santorini in Greece.
