DUNN - BANKS

St Peter’s Church in Falstone provided the venue for the wedding of Fay Banks to Tynedale Rugby Club first XV lock forward Graeme Robert Dunn, of Hexhamshire.
The bridegroom is the son of Stephen and Kathleen Dunn, of Dipton Mill. A first team player for Tynedale, he attended Queen Elizabeth High School, in Hexham, before going on to study at Newcastle University. He nows works in the family business, Shield Green Nurseries in Hexhamshire.
The bride is the daughter of Robin and June Banks, of Falstone. She is a former pupil of Haydon Bridge High school and now works as an admin team leader at the Egger UK factory in Hexham,
Given away by her father, she wore her late grandmother’s wedding ring.
Her dress was ivory and strapless with a laced back, full trim, and pleated bodice encrusted with Swarovski crystals and seed pearls.
Her veil featured matching crystal and pearl detailing, and was worn with a delicate headdress.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink and cream roses, white and pink carnations, and lisianthus.
Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister Kayleigh Banks, her friends Hannah Davidson and Kelly Cowan, and cousins Emily Symons and Harriet Robinson.
They wore aqua chiffon dresses with fitted pleated bodices featuring a draped front and flower detail decorated in sequins and diamantes.
The bride’s younger cousins, Grace Symons, Ella Pigg and Nancie Pigg acted as flowergirls, and wore ivory taffeta and tulle dresses with lace and seed pearl detail.
Best man was the bridegroom’s school friend Roger Nixon and ushers were the bridegroom’s brother Richard Dunn and school friend Tom Kristensen.
The church was decorated in lilac lisianthus, white lilies, pink roses, and white carnations and pink spray carnations by family friends Jean and Jenny Swaile and Margaret Mills.
The service was conducted by the Rev. Susan Ramsaran and featured the hymns One More Step Along the World I Go and All Things Bright and Beautiful, accompanied by organist Brenda Ormesher.
A reception was held at Otterburn Castle, decorated with bouquets and table decorations by family friend Gail Tailford.
The couple are spending their honeymoon in Mexico.
