PORTER - CONWAY

The coastal scenery of South Shields provided the backdrop for the wedding of Allendale couple Claire Ferguson Conway and David Porter.
The pair tied the knot in a civil ceremony conducted by registrar Jacqueline Todd, at the Little Haven Hotel, in South Shields.
A familiar face behind the counter at Allendale Post Office, the bride is the daughter of Norma Harris, from Winlaton, and Paul Conway, of Low Fell.
The former student of Hexham’s Queen Elizabeth High School enjoys cooking, baking and shopping in her spare time.
On her wedding day she wore an ivory dress with sweetheart neckline, diamante and crystal corset, and a tulle skirt.
Accessories included a catherdral-length lace veil, matching bolero and a butterfly headband.
She carried a bouquet of ivory and blush roses and peonies.
Maid of honour on the day was best friend of the bride, Kay North, who wore a blush pleated dress.
Another best friend, Danielle Miller and sister in law Hannah Samuel were bridesmaids and wore strapless gowns in navy chiffon with waterfall detail.
They all carried bouquets mirroring the bride’s.
Flower girls were the bride’s second cousin Ava Dakers and the bridegroom’s niece Lili-Grace Bennett, who wore ivory princess dresses and carried wands.
The bride’s nephew Max Oliver Samuel-Conway was page boy and wore a kilt.
The bridegroom is the son of Audrey Carr and Phil Brown, of South Shields.
He studied at Brinkburn School in South Shields and now works for Baynes Travel.
His best man was step dad Phil Brown.
The bride was given away by her father and music featured in the ceremony included Celtic Love Song by Brunuhville, Today Was A Fairytale by Taylor Swift, I’m Yours by Jason Mraz and Now That We Found Love by Heavy D and the Boyz.
Family and friends gathered at the hotel for the wedding reception and the couple spent their honeymoon in the Lake District.
