Grant- Knight Nicholas & Heather
A HONEYMOON in Argentina followed the wedding of former Prudhoe Community High School pupil Nicholas Grant and Heather Knight.
The couple, who met while studying at Leeds University, now live in East Dulwich, London.
They were married at St Bartholomew’s Arborfield Church, in Berkshire.
The bridegroom is the son of Nicholas and Pauline Grant, of Wylam, and is a lecturer in American history at the University of East Anglia.
He lists football, tennis and running as his hobbies.
The bride is the daughter of Karen Knight, of Reading, Berkshire, and attended The Abbey School, in Reading.
She works as an international student adviser at London South Bank University and enjoys yoga and travelling in her spare time.
She wore a dress made with two Edwardian lace wedding veils, trimmed with crystal beads, over a satin base in cream.
The bride carried a bouquet of dusky pink, ruby and cream roses with trailing fern and ivy.
The bride’s sister Sally Cave and school friend Helen Jackson were bridesmaids and wore navy sleeveless chiffon knee-length dresses, with dove grey shawls. They carried dusky pink and cream rose bouquets with ruby astrantia and ivy.
The bridegroom’s three best men were his brother David Grant and two school friends Matthew Love and Harry Wood.
During a ceremony which included the carols O Come All Ye Faithful and Hark the Herald Angels Sing, the bride was given away by her mother.
The church was decorated in dusky pink and ruby roses and foliage displays, with pew ends decorated with small sprays of astrantia, rosemary and lavender.
Following the service, a reception was held for guests at Ufton Court, in Berkshire.
