BLACKBURN, Dorothy Vinton. Minsteracres, Newfield Farm, formerly of Dilston Haugh. Peacefully in hospital on 24th January, 2018. Dorothy, dearly loved wife of Eric and much loved mother of Jeremy. A strong, honest and caring woman, who led her family through thick and thin. She supported many voluntary organisations, most prominently Inner Wheel and the WI where her unique character was valued and appreciated. Dorothy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private interment. A service of thanksgiving to be held at St Andrews Church, Corbridge on Tuesday, 20th February at 2pm. A retiring collection will be taken for the Charlotte Straker Project at the end of the service.
