VARTY, Derek. Hexham. Died peacefully at home with his family beside him, on 26th July, 2018 aged 85 years. Derek, loved husband of Alice, loving dad to Alan and Colin and father-in-law of Tracey. A much loved and devoted granda to his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Service and cremation to take place at Mountsett Crematorium, Dipton on Wednesday, 8th August at 10.15am followed by a service of thanksgiving at Hexham West End Methodist Church at 12.30pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers to Tynedale Hospice at Home or the Oncology Unit, Hexham General Hospital, c/o Dodds of Hexham, NE46 2EW.
