SIMPSON, Lily. Died peacefully in Elm Bank Care Home at the end of a long and happy life on 30th July, 2018 aged 101 years. Lily was a dearly loved mother to Nicholas and Rosanne, mother-in-law to Jean and Glen, grandmother to Kate, George, Rachel, Andrew and Becky and great-grandmother to William and Hamish. Lily enriched the lives of everyone she met and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral service and cremation will be held at the West Road Crematorium, Newcastle upon Tyne on Tuesday, 14th August at 11.15am. Family flowers only. Please dress for an English country garden. A collection will be made for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People to whom cheques may be written.
