BRIGHT Newton Desmond (Des aged 98) formally of Haltwhistle sadly passed away peacefully on the 4th of August 2021 in Hexham General Hospital. This last year Des was so exceptionally well cared for by the staff at Lowgate Care Home. Des was much loved and will be sorely missed by Eric, Hazel and Family; Glenys, Joe and Family and the wider Bright and Paul Families. Time passes so quickly, yet Memories will live on - in our hearts forever. Due to Covid a private cremation service will be held at Carlisle Crematorium. Des' final journey will leave Park View at 12:00 noon on Thursday 19th August and he'll travel up the back road past 34, Westlands his family home since 1947 2020, on to Carlisle.
