COOPER Captain Rex O.B.E. (RFA) Tarset Funeral service and interment at St. Aidan's Church, Thorneyburn on Tuesday 8th November at 11.30am. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to The Royal Fleet Auxiliary Association c/o Dickinson's Funeral Services , Whinhaven, Gunnerton, NE48 4ED.

Captain Rex was a fine highly dedicated and throughly professional seafarer and Commanding Officer. In retirement he was pivotal to the success of the RFA Association for which he was deservedly honored and remained a stalwart supporting the wider RFA family until his sad passing. Personally, he was highly supportive during the dark days of me being diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and then being informed that the residual tumour was inoperable. He offered moral support, sage advice and told me it was far too early for EOP/FWE. Look forward to meeting Rex up there, but not just yet. A life well led and reunited with his beloved wife; RIP Sir. (Shaun Jones OBE)
