BARKER Eric It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Barker announces his death on 10 th August 2024, at the age of 92. Eric died in the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife Sally, his children Richard and Sophie, his grandchildren Cleo and Lola, sister in law Jean and all his family and friends. Eric previously worked at Sterling Winthorpe where he made life long friendships. He continued to work, latterly as a director of Converted Media with his son Richard. Eric was a lover of France, excellent French wine, and great jazz. He was a life long supporter of Sunderland AFC and Durham CCC. The funeral service will be held at 1.30 pm 10th September, West Road, Crematorium, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and afterwards at Jesmond Dene House Hotel. Please make any charitable donations in lieu of flowers to Jazz. Coop Newcastle or Durham Cricket Foundation. He was loved by all who met him and words cannot express how much he will be missed
