RITSON Edna Hexham Our wonderful mother Edna Ritson passed away peacefully on 26th September 2024, after a life well lived, with her daughter Gillian at her side. Edna was born in Sunderland in 1938 to John George and Susannah Bee. Edna left Sunderland at an early age and grew up in Allendale with her aunt Sall Cutter, aunt Lil and uncle Fred Keys. It was in Allendale that she met her lifelong love and husband Jack Ritson. Edna was always there for her family, patiently offering her abundant love and support. She had lovely sense of humour and leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength. Predeceased by her husband Jack, Edna is survived by her brother Jackie, daughter Gillian, son Philip (Jennifer), grandchildren Alexander (Maricel), Edward (Madeleine) and Raechel and great-grandchildren Maggie and Ollie. Private funeral as requested.
