Peacefully, in his sleep and in the company of family, at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, on the 19th of October 2024, at the age of 89 years. Devoted and loving husband of Heather, dearly loved father of John, and dear brother of Geoffrey. A treasured grandfather to Elias, Hannah, and Thea. Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of David’s life at West Road Crematorium, Newcastle, at 10:30 am on Friday, 8th November. No flowers, please, but donations in memory of David may be made at the service.

I will always remember David and Heather's wonderful welcome to their son's pack of University friends when they all showed up for New Year's, or stopped off along the way to camping trips in Scotland. David was a true gentleman ,charming, friendly, intelligent and gracious. He will be sorely missed.
