Tomorrow’s Corbridge Festival will run a ‘Wear your Wings’ competition to raise awareness of Hexham-based Josie’s Dragonfly Trust.
The charity was set up in memory of Josie Grove who died of cancer at the age of 16, and its aim is to provide fun activities and memories for young people and children battling the disease.
Celebrating its fifth year, the district’s biggest music festival promises to be even better than before with a brilliant line-up billed from midday until 10.30pm.
Topping the schedule are iconic punk rock band The Undertones, while other blasts from the past include Angie Brown and Erica and Miles from 90s band The Wonderstuff.
Local talent comes in the form of Hexham rapper Chris Fawcett’s Ourselves and Us who headline the acoustic stage, and Tynedale trio Charlie Dancer, Amy Ridley and Anna Harrison all have secured slots.
This year, the festival, which is expected to crowds of up to 5,000 people to Tynedale Rugby Club, is being sponsored by North Tyneside’s Utilitywise, one of the UK‘s leading energy and water consultancies.
