A MAN died while walking near Hadrian’s Wall on Tuesday.
The North East Ambulance Service said it was called to the scene, near Housesteads Roman Fort, at 10.33am where the patient was not breathing.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At around 12pm on Tuesday, January 15 police received a report that a 73-year-old man had been found deceased near Housesteads Fort.
“There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”
The Great North Air Ambulance Service also attended, as well as Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Service and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Service.
