TRIBUTES are being paid to popular musician and entertainer Paul Squire, who died on December 4, at the age of 69.
The father-of-two, who lived at Stocksfield for many years, performed at the London Palladium, and also worked with leading names including Bob Monkhouse, Bernard Manning, and Bill Haley.
Paul's family have announced details of his funeral, which will take place on Friday, December 20, at Mountsett Crematorium on Ewehurst Road, Dipton, in County Durham, at 12.30pm. Paul's son Jamie said all are welcome to join the family in paying their respects.
The variety performer, who moved to Oldham eight years ago, had battled against ailing health in recent times.
A full tribute to Paul Squire will be published in next week's Courant.
