With Mother’s Day just around the corner, Northumberland’s only Michelin star restaurant is on hand to help mark the occasion.
Following the sell out success of Restaurant Hjem’s Christmas Comfort and Valentine’s Day boxes, the team, based in Wall, has put together another collection of tasty treats for people to enjoy with their loved ones on March 14.
While lockdown continues to prevent head chef Alex Nietosvuori and his partner and restaurant manager Ally Thompson from welcoming guests into Hjem’s dining room, the couple hope these at-home offerings will help to make Mothering Sunday weekend that little bit more special.
The boxes are offered as one size only and are ideal to share between two or as a feast for one if lockdown is preventing families from marking the day with the ones they love.
Each box contains: chicken skin crisps and wild garlic dip, pork belly rillettes and crackling, cured haddock and nettle dressing, Yukon gold potato pancakes and smoked trout roe, brown crab and pickled cucumber croustades, Doddington cheese and leek quiche, Darling blue cheese, seeded crispy flatbread and chutney, sourdough bread and North Acomb Farm butter, wild berry jam doughnut, mixed nut nougat and vanilla and Rum canelé.
The Mothering Sunday boxes are now available for pre-order for delivery (NE postcodes only) or collection on March 12, 13 or 14.
Orders can be made via www.restauranthjem.co.uk
