Popular ITV drama Vera will be making another filming appearance in the region across the next two weeks.
The detective programme, which is set in the North East, will see stars of the show head to Allendale to film scenes for upcoming new episodes of the show.
According to Allendale Parish Council on Facebook, the program will be in and around the town on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week (May 12-14) and then further filming will be shot on Monday and Tuesday the following week (May 17 and 18).
The council also say that the majority of the filming will take place Studdon Dene with additional short scenes also being filmed at Jill’s Catering and the Market Place Post Office also.
The council yard on Shilburn Road will be used as a base for ITV when in the area and the television company aren’t looking for any extras to help with the filming of the show.
News of the cast of Vera again visiting the Tyne Valley follows recent filming appearances around the county including at both Stamfordham and Matfen and also Corbridge.
New episodes of the hit TV drama are set to come to our screens next year.
