A legal firm in a Tynedale town have strengthened its team of staff by employing a new solicitor.
Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors have recruited Ingrid Fraser to join their Haltwhistle branch, with the total number of staff at the location now standing at six after the appointment.
Ingrid, who specialises in probate, wills and inheritance, will be able to offer legal guidance and advice for residents across the region.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of a larger firm, while still being part of a smaller team based from the Haltwhistle office," said Ingrid after her appointment.
“I practise all aspects of wills, probate and inheritance, and particularly enjoy estate administration work.
“I enjoy getting to know clients and finding the best ways in which I can help them. I put real value on listening to clients, so I can really understand their situation and how it can best be resolved.”
After being originally from Liverpool, Ingrid stayed in the North East following the completion of her post-graduate studies in law and last worked at Nicholson Portnell Solicitors in Hexham before her move to Cartmell Shepherd.
Ingrid is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has practised as a solicitor for a total of 17 years, while outside of work she is also an eager runner and is set to take part in this year's Great North Run event.
“Ingrid is a great addition to the Haltwhistle office, and the wider Cartmell Shepherd team," added Associate Solicitor Miya Mark who also leads the Haltwhistle office.
“Having another specialist wills, probate and inheritance solicitor join the team means we can provide even more support to people who want to ensure their affairs are in order.”
Ingrid joins Solicitor Alice Whittome, Associate Solicitor Miya Mark and Conveyancer Linsey Hayes at the Haltwhistle office, with Mark Jackson and Joanne Stronach - both of whom are directors at the firm - also part of the team too.
Cartmell Shepherd currently have offices across both Northumberland and Cumbria in towns such as Haltwhistle and Brampton as well as two further branches in Carlisle.
The company also offers its complete range of legal services at each of its branches around the local area and they currently have more than 40 solicitors based across both counties.
