80 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed within Northumberland within the last 24 hours.
The news means the total number of Covid-19 cases within the county now stands at 18,643 since the pandemic began last March.
In our region, a total of 11 wards currently make the worse affected list with each area having at least five positive cases of Covid-19 confimed within the latest seven day period.
These are:
Hexham East – 14 cases
Ponteland South with Heddon – 12 cases
Longhorsley – 11 cases
Prudhoe South – 10 cases
Hexham West – 10 cases
Ponteland West – 9 cases
Ponteland North – 8 cases
Prudhoe North – 7 cases
Hexham Central with Acomb – 7 cases
Humshaugh – 6 cases
Corbridge – 5 cases
The death toll in relation to Covid-19 also currently remains at 731 in Northumbria Healthcare Trust hospitals since the pandemic 15 months ago.
