175 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the county within the latest 24 hours.
The news means that a total of 19,364 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Northumberland since the pandemic began last March.
A total of 16 wards in our area also feature in the worse affected list, which shows areas with five or more cases of Covid-19 that have been confirmed within the latest seven day period.

Ponteland West – 18 cases
Prudhoe North – 17 cases
Ponteland North – 17 cases
Ponteland South with Heddon – 16 cases
Prudhoe South – 14 cases
Ponteland East and Stannington – 14 cases
Hexham East – 13 cases
Haydon and Hadrian – 12 cases
Hexham Central with Acomb – 11 cases
Bywell – 11 cases
Haltwhistle – 10 cases
Longhorsley – 8 cases
Humshaugh – 7 cases
Stocksfield and Broomhaugh – 6 cases
South Tynedale – 6 cases
Hexham West – 6 cases
Nobody has died in relation to Covid-19 in Northumbria Healthcare Trust’s hospitals within the last 24 hours, meaning the death toll remains at 731 since the start of the coronavirus crisis.
