188 new Coronavirus cases have been recorded across Northumberland in the latest 24-hour period.
Figures from the UK Government show the total of positive cases since last March is now 20,616.
Despite the sharp rise in cases, there have been no Covid-related deaths recorded in Northumbria NHS Trust hospitals. Figures from Public Health England show that the Covid death toll in the region’s hospitals has remained at 731 since May 17.
According to the latest round-up of figures from Northumberland County Council, Ponteland North has the highest number of positive Covid cases in Northumberland with 55.
