Tynedale's MP visited a high school in the region this week to meet its new headteacher and look at its recent refurbishment.
Hexham MP Guy Opperman headed to Haydon Bridge High School to visit new head Michael Smith and view the school following its £4.5 million revamp.
Haydon Bridge High School, which a few years ago had been deemed not viable due to a low number of students, has seen a fine transformation in recent years and has also been able to benefit from investment from Northumberland County Council.
"Now restrictions have eased, it was fantastic to visit Haydon Bridge High School and see the amazing transformation the school has undergone," said Guy.
"I look forward to working with Mr Smith to take the school forward to provide the very best education for pupils across Tynedale."
The school, which now also offers a range of courses for students aged 16 and over including engineering, catering, construction, beauty and hairdressing, is set to continue its transformation over the coming years.
"Northumberland County Council's investment in the school has been a major step forward in improving facilities and the learning offer here within the school," added headmaster Michael Smith.
"We continue to be committed to improving all aspects of the school and its work over the coming years. By working in partnership with students and parents we will be able to ensure that all students have the best possible school experience and achieve the best possible outcomes.’
