A popular livestock event will help raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance.
The Borderway Agri Expo will takes place on October 29 in Borderway, Carlisle, will help raise money for the charity as livestock auctioneers Harrison & Hetherington believe the GNAA service is essential for residents across the North East and Cumbria.
“We are delighted as a company to continue to support the Great North Air Ambulance Service. H&H recognise the importance of the work they do, particularly in the farming world, and feel it is in everyone’s interests to support such a vital service," said Chief Executive Richard Rankin.
"Many of our team, as well as their families and friends, have their own personal stories or know of rescue and care carried out by the charity and so it is fantastic to have the opportunity to give something back and help the GNAAS continue to offer lifesaving treatment.”
The GNNA is not NHS funded and relies entirely on donated funds to help operate when required.
The service uses both rapid response cars as well as the helicopters themselves, with 2020 having seen them respond to a total of 1,262 callouts.
