HEXHAM Rowing Club Juniors members will be taking on a 24-hour challenge to raise funds.
Between 40 and 60 juniors will take part in the event, which will take place from August 21 at 1pm until August 22 at 1pm.
The club set a fundraising target of £2,400, and have so far raised more than £2,200.
The money will be used to fund coaching and equipment.
Paul Nicholson, the club’s boatman, said since the pandemic, they have realised how much rowing means to members for both their physical and mental wellbeing.
The club wants to expand and ensure young people from across Tynedale have the opportunity to participate.
The club is asking people to come along and cheer members on. There will be tea, coffee, and cake for sale on the bankside.
