1. Hexham Lantern Parade
When? Friday, November 19
Where? Through the centre of Hexham
Carry your own crafted lantern in a procession through Hexham, which ends at the Market Place with live music.
2. Christmas Fayre
When? Friday, November 19 10am-7.30pm and Saturday, November 20 10am-4.30pm
Where? Wheelbirks Parlour, Stocksfield
Whether you are looking for a special gift, or you simply want to treat yourself, you are sure to find something among the range of bespoke, hand-crafted gifts, and accessories available. Between 4.30pm -7.30pm on Friday, November 19 you can also enjoy a complimentary glass of mulled wine and a freshly baked mince pie.
3. Northumberland National Park Christmas Fair
When? Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21. From 10am to 4pm both days.
Where? The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre
The market will host over 20 local stallholders, including Twice Brewed, Hadrian’s Larder and Handmade by Lolla Mac, Canny Candy Gadgie, and Northumbrian Pantry.
4. Paul Sinha - 'Hazy Little Thing Called Love'
When? Saturday, November 20 7.30pm
Where? The Main Theatre, Queen's Hall
The Chase star Paul Sinha is back on the road with the stand-up comedy show that Covid restrictions temporarily put on hold.
5. Winter Wonderland
When? Friday, November 19 - Sunday, January 2 2022 4pm-10pm
Where? Newcastle Racecourse, Gosforth
Head down to Newcastle to enjoy this winter fair opening this weekend, billed as Newcastle's biggest. Rollercoasters and ice skating are among the attractions available, along with plenty of food stalls.
6. The Rockin’ Turner Brothers
When? Friday, November 19 7.30pm
Where? The Vault, Hexham
The Rockin’ Turner Brothers AKA Peter and Stuart Turner are a duo/trio from the North East, featuring Ian Piercy on drums, and play authentic roots music, influenced by styles such as Rockabilly, Rock n Roll, and Hillbilly.
7. Stargazing for Beginners
When? Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20 at 8pm.
Where? Twice Brewed Inn
Experience the starry skies above Northumberland this weekend by attending one of the regular Stargazing for Beginners events.
8. Northumberland National Park
Why not enjoy our brilliant National Park, full of spectacular views and walks? Walk through the park's meadows or challenge yourself to some of the steep peaks around the park.
9. The Forum Cinema
Films on this weekend include Marvel's Eternals, Spencer, and The Boss Baby 2: Family Business
10. Roast dinner
Is there anything better than having a Sunday Roast in a warm pub on a winter's day? Our readers' recommendations include the Manor House in Haltwhistle and The Crown Inn in Humshaugh.
