1. Barrasford Arms, Barrasford
Located near Hadrian's Wall, the Barrasford Arms is an award winning country pub. The pub was voted 'Destination Restaurant of the Year' and has allowed dogs in the bar area for two years.
2. Twice Brewed Inn, Bardon Mill
Situated midway between Newcastle and Carlisle, the Twice Brewed Inn is near Roman sites of Vindolanda and Housesteads. They were the runner up for the Rover Dog Friendly Pub Awards in 2019.
3.The Black Bull, Haltwhistle
A traditional English pub, the foundations of which date back to the 12th century. Local real ales, an open fire, and bar meals make it an ideal spot for you and your four legged friend.
4. The Wheatsheaf, Corbridge
The pub's deal of a burger and a pint for £10 from Tuesday to Friday from 5pm sounds too good to miss. Their Sunday dinners are popular, and there are also hotel rooms available to book with breakfast included.

The open fire creates a cosy atmosphere in this quaint traditional pub. They host quiz nights through the week and live music on weekends. Dogs are welcome.

The recently refurbished hotel and country pub sells local ales, classic pub food and hosts live music events. One Facebook review said: "Good food and quick service. Staff were lovely."
7. The Globe Inn, Hexham
The Inn shows live sport, hosts live music once a month, and welcomes dogs. A Facebook comment said: "Justin is the best when it comes to dogs." The exterior of the pub was recently refurbished with new lighting and painted in new colours.

Open every day until 11pm, The Sun Inn offers comfortable rooms, fantastic food and great service. They have a spacious beer garden ideal for dogs to play in, and also host live music. One Facebook review said: "Lovely country pub with a laid back atmosphere. Friendly locals and friendly staff. Beer was reasonably priced too." Another review said: "Great outdoor area for the dogs."

Located in the village of Morpeth, The Ox Inn serve food including fillet steak, venison loin, and breakfast burgers. One Facebook review said: "Amazing food, great service, fantastic atmosphere and brilliant team of staff. Definitely worth the visit." Their quiz night starts from 7pm on Wednesday.
