A MINUTE'S applause was held at a parkrun to celebrate the life of one of its volunteers.
Tyne Green Park Run, one of the charity events Fiona Park regularly supported since her husband Neil Park started the run, held a minute's applause at Tyne Green on Saturday.
She died suddenly on April 24 aged 60.
"In honour of Fiona, we're all wearing purple and we thought we would celebrate her life with a minute's applause," Claire Knowles, one of the park run directors, said in the Facebook video.

"She was a regular volunteer and we lost her suddenly last weekend, a shock to all of us, she was not only a wonderful member of the Park Run family, she was just a pretty good, solid person.
"We are, of course, pretty devastated."
Fiona also volunteered at the dementia charity Chrysalis and Oxfam's shop in Hexham.
