We are sure that the Boiler Upgrade Scheme will give a new group of customers the opportunity to switch to cleaner energy. The scheme gives grants to people who install a low carbon heating system in place of an existing gas boiler system or an oil boiler system. Grants of £5,000 are payable to successful applicants and they can be applied for through your registered heating installer who must be registered with the scheme. The grant is issued in the form of a voucher.

You will need a valid energy performance certificate EPC which cannot have any outstanding recommendations for loft or cavity wall insulation. If it does have recommendations; you must address the outstanding recommendations and obtain an up to date EPC. The scheme is set to run for three years. Don’t miss the BUS!
