Hexham Courant readers have paid tribute to a travel company they have used for more than 50 years.
After Baynes Travel in Allendale revealed it is to close on July 24 following the death of its owner Nigel Baynes, readers have recalled their best memories of using the company.
Helen Hillary said: "The Baynes service took our children to school for many years.
"Nigel was fantastic with all the children - so professional.
"We are so sorry to hear of Nigel’s passing and the closure of the business.
"Our thoughts are very much with the family."

Another reader Charlotte De Oliveira recalls a situation when she needed Baynes Travel which she will always remember. She said: "It was an amazing company who came to my rescue when I had a whole school to transport to their seaside visit.
"We were travelling to Newcastle to ensure under-privileged children had a day to remember. I will be forever grateful."
Tom Cowing adds: "The passing of Nigel and Baynes Travel is a tragedy for The Dale."
Among memories of the business, many also recall Nigel as a person.
Yvonne Leighton said: "It will be so missed by many. A huge hole has been left."
Bill Hind agrees with Yvonne and added: "What a shame that the business is closing. It was the gateway in and out of the Dale."
