Hundreds turned out to welcome back a popular annual event after it returned for the first time since Covid.
Allendale Parish Councillor Nick Pepper, one of the organisers of the Allendale 'May' Fair, said he was pleased so many residents enjoyed the return of the once-annual event.

"The sun shone and many people came to the two-day weekend event," Cllr Pepper said.
"It was so lovely to see everyone enjoy themselves and take part in many of the activities we had.
"We have received so many positive comments about the day - which makes all the stress and organisation worthwhile.
"It is hard work and quite stressful but to see everyone happy and enjoying themselves puts a smile on our faces.
"At the end of the day - we do it all for the community and it is a big event for them.
"I would like to thank my team and also our sponsors for making it possible to do it this year."
