OUTDOOR gym equipment has been installed in a Tynedale village.
Part of Acomb's playing field has been dug out and a multi-piece unit has been installed.
The unit, which is next to the tennis court and play area, includes a health walker, slalom skier, stepper, horse rider, Tai Chi discs and an arm bike.
County councillor for Hexham Central with Acomb Trevor Cessford donated £8,000 from his members' allowance to cover the cost of the project.
He said: "I thought it would be a fantastic addition for the village."
Vice-chairman of Acomb Parish Council Charles Enderby said: "We are very grateful as a community for Trevor's help on this, together with Northumberland County Council."
Chair of Acomb Parish Council Norman Robson added that it was "part of improving the assets" in Acomb.
The village's tennis courts have recently been upgraded with new nets and freshly painted white lines, and the council is trying to make the playing fields more wildlife friendly, including by sowing a wildflower meadow.
The pavilion is also undergoing refurbishment.
The parish council is still deciding on the gym's surrounding.
