A team of firefighters have completed an epic 84-mile challenge to raise money for charity.
Firefighters from Allendale Fire station were over the moon to discover they have raised £3,500 for The Firefighters Charity after taking on an Hadrian's Wall Path Challenge over two days, without stopping.
"We went through a whole host of emotions during the challenge," Dave Stevenson, one of the crew said.
"From some amazing high points to some very low times when we even wondered if the whole thing was possible for us to complete.
"The night time was exceptionally difficult as not only did we have to contend with the highest climbs and most undulating and rocky parts of the trail, but the fatigue, cooler air and darkness seemed to compound the aches, pains and injuries, making them feel ten times worse.
"Making a good time was no longer a goal, it was now purely to reach the end in one piece.

"We were met by Zoe Maclean and Amy Bailey from The Forge Cafe, Allendale, Dani Henderson and Kate Maughan from Whitfield WI, Alan and Liz Birchall from A2B taxis and Sue Coburn, all of whom supplied various tasty treats and much-needed positivity at various checkpoints.
"The feeling of euphoria as we walked up to Segedunum was second to none and all of a sudden the pain dissappeared, even if just for a fleeting moment.
"I am so proud of the team that took on this crazy challenge and smashed it. They are all heroes in my mind and I am forever grateful for the effort they put in.
"At the finish line, we were visited by a team from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service, our very own Chief Fire Officer, Paul Hedley, Area Manager Rob Clow, the duty crew from Hexham Fire Station and the duty crew from Wallsend Fire Station.
"The best moment of the whole thing was when we climbed off the minibus to a heroes welcome and seeing the community members' faces and hearing the applause and cheers was a very emotional moment."
