A litter pick took place in Hexham in memory of late Wombles narrator Bernard Cribbins,
Suzanne Fairless-Aitken, a councillor for Hexham East division, organises the Hexham Womble litter picks.
The litter pick was in memory of Mr Cribbins who died on July 27. Suzanne said he 'was the voice of the Wombles for a whole generation'.

"We did White Cross, Maiden's Walk, up to Abbey View, along to M&S, and ended at Hewson Court who let us in their rather fancy lounge for tea and biscuits - what a treat," she said.
The group collected approximately 20 bags of litter.
Suzanne said: "I do all the organising, but we now have lots of regulars - it's fabulous."
She said people should join The Wombles to show community strength and provide role models for young people.
"We got lots of lovely 'thank yous' and conversations as we went round, with people wanting to join.
"I think it's so important, alongside our wonderful Northumberland County Council depot staff who clean our streets, to show we are committed to a cleaner local environment for everyone, and don't expect 'someone else will pick it up', or 'I pay my taxes so why should I'. That attitude gets us nowhere."
