2 Man, 43, dies in single-vehicle crash

A man died following a crash near Stocksfield.

Emergency services attended the scene of a one-vehicle crash on the B6309 southbound near Squirrels Leap at around 10.15am on Wednesday.

The driver of the grey Skoda, a 43-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers investigating the murder of Peter Coshan, 75, recovered the body of a man near to the village of Kirkwhelpington off the A696 in Northumberland.

Long tailbacks were reported on the A69 after two separate crashes.

Police were called at 1.30pm on Friday to a collision at Low Row between a car and motorhome.

A Cumbria Police spokeswoman confirmed no injuries were reported.
