AROUND 300 people attended a county service of thanksgiving and commemoration for Queen Elizabeth II at Hexham Abbey.
The service, on Sunday evening, was held the night before the State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen on Monday.
Rev. Dr. Henry Hope said: "It was wonderful to be able to welcome leaders from across Northumberland as well as so many members of the community.
"The choir sang which was fantastic and I think lifted the atmosphere and held some of the thoughts that we all had together beautifully."
Those unable to attend were able to watch a livestream of the service.
Various other services of commemoration were also held throughout the district at the weekend.
A beacon was also lit at Eastwoods Park in Prudhoe ahead of the minute's silence at 8pm.
