A charity is hoping that monies raised from a concert will help them buy their 100th ambulance.
On October 15, Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care, a charity that operates throughout the North East, is holding a concert that they hope will help to buy another ambulance.
It provides transport to and from hospitals for cancer patients free of charge.
The event is called ‘Last Night of the Proms’ and will be at the O2 Newcastle City Hall.
Organisers are promising those who will attend 'a fantastic night of music, song and dance'.

A spokesperson for the charity said: "Last Night of the Proms’ will also bring together some of the top performers from the region, alongside our good-humored host and Proms favourite, Ray Spencer MBE (Customs House).
"On the night, it will also feature music and song from around the world, with a patriotic finale of British anthems.
"This is the highlight of the charity’s events calendar, and this year is extra special as the proceeds from a sell-out crowd will fund the purchase of the 100th ambulance in the fleet since the service started in 2011."
Tickets are available via O2 Newcastle City Hall website - https://www.academymusicgroup.com/o2cityhallnewcastle/events/1356297/daft-brush-last-night-proms-tickets and start from only £15.75.
